The Wakanda Summer Reading Program is a culturally affirming literacy experience designed to inspire a love of reading while strengthening confidence, identity, and academic skills. Grounded in the spirit of excellence, leadership, and innovation, this program encourages students to see themselves as scholars, creators, and future change-makers.

For one week in July, students gather every morning, Monday through Friday for engaging read-alouds, small group discussions, literacy enrichment activities, and social-emotional learning. Each session intentionally centers stories that reflect culture, resilience, brilliance, and possibility.
